The mourning babbler, previously called the short-tailed babbler, is a ground babbler found in the Malay Peninsula, the Anambas Islands, Sumatra, the Banyak, Batu, Riau and Lingga Islands and the Natuna Islands. It was formerly considered conspecific with the glissando babbler and the leaflitter babbler (Wikipedia, general species account).
