Native to Southeast Asia; introduced to Sri Lanka, Indochina and many Pacific islands

The common four-clawed gecko, also called the Pacific gecko, stump-toed gecko or tender-skinned house gecko, is native to Southeast Asia and has spread to Sri Lanka, Indochina and many Pacific islands. Compared with the Asian house gecko it looks plump, with delicate skin that is usually a soft purplish or pinkish grey. Younger animals have golden spots that fade with age. The head is longer than broad, the digits are short and slightly webbed at the base, and the back and throat carry small granular scales (Wikipedia, general species account).
