The Belitung rock gecko is known from Belitung Island, with its type locality in Burong Mandi village at about 13 m elevation. It reaches a known maximum snout–vent length of 54.1 mm and has keeled ventral scales. The species was named for the former regent of East Belitung, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Reptile Database, general species account).
