Ciconia stormi
Habitat
Lowland tropical forest
Range
Malaysia, Indonesia and southern Thailand
Storm's stork is a medium-sized stork that occurs primarily in lowland tropical forests of Malaysia, Indonesia and southern Thailand. It is considered the rarest of all storks, estimated at no more than 1,750 wild individuals across its range. Its population has long been in decline, and the primary cause is widely considered to be deforestation of its native habitat (Wikipedia, general species account).
