The giant river toad, or Borneo river toad, is a toad in the family Bufonidae found in Borneo (Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia) and Sumatra below 1,600 m above sea level. Before its species description it was confused with Phrynoidis asper, hence the name juxtasper, from the Latin for near (Wikipedia, general species account).
