The cat gecko is found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Thailand and is the only species in its genus. It is called the cat gecko because it curls up with its tail around itself when sleeping, like a cat. It is a lightly built gecko, typically red-brown with white spots (Wikipedia, general species account).
