Hemidactylus platyurus
Range
Southeastern and southern Asia
The flat-tailed house gecko, also called the frilled house gecko, is native to southeastern and southern Asia and is sometimes placed in the genus Cosymbotus. It has skin flaps (patagia) on the trunk, tail and thigh that it uses in gliding, formed from expansions of fat along the sides, as in gliding geckos of the genus Gekko. The ear opening is small and oval (Wikipedia, general species account).
