The big-eared pipistrelle is a vesper bat found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Individuals have a forearm of 31.7–34.5 mm and, based on three adult females, weigh 5–6 g. It forages over mud flats in Peninsular Malaysia but its roosting habits are unknown. Its habitat is threatened by deforestation for agriculture, plantations, logging and fires, though how this affects the bat is unknown (Wikipedia, general species account).
